About Slightly Married by Mary Balogh

Set in the Regency world of high society, Slightly Married follows Colonel Lord Aidan Bedwyn, a marriage-shy nobleman whose loyalty leads him to honor a dying soldier’s request to protect his sister, Eve. Independent and determined to manage her own affairs, Eve resists his offer of help.

When a relative threatens Eve’s home, Aidan proposes marriage as a way to protect it. Their arrangement begins as a practical solution, but the story develops into a historical romance about Aidan and Eve and the feelings that complicate their agreement. Published in 2003, this first novel in the Bedwyn Saga suits readers of Regency romance and marriage-of-convenience stories.
