About A Summer to Remember by Mary Balogh

Set in the Regency romance tradition, Mary Balogh’s A Summer to Remember pairs Kit Butler, a notorious bachelor trying to evade his family’s plans for him, with Lauren Edgeworth, who has resolved not to marry after being left at the altar.

They agree to pretend to be engaged: Lauren will help Kit fend off matchmaking, and he will give her the adventurous summer she wants before she ends the arrangement. The plan grows more complicated when Kit falls in love. Readers who enjoy historical romance built around a false engagement and two determined, independent leads may find this an appealing Bedwyn Prequels installment.
