About Only Enchanting by Mary Balogh

Set in the Regency period, this fourth novel in The Survivors’ Club series follows Flavian, Viscount Ponsonby, and Agnes Keeping. The club brings together six men and one woman wounded in the Napoleonic Wars, whose friendship formed during their recovery at Penderris Hall in Cornwall.

After the return of the woman who once broke his heart, Flavian makes an impulsive marriage proposal to Agnes. She accepts, then learns his proposal was meant as revenge. Their changing feelings turn the marriage into a test of trust and affection.

Readers of Regency historical romance may enjoy the book’s focus on a marriage of convenience, a past engagement, and the relationship between two people who approach love very differently.
