About Queen of Hearts by Rhys Bowen
England, 1934: Lady Georgiana Rannoch agrees to cross the Atlantic with her mother, a glamorous actress headed to Reno for a divorce. In Hollywood, her mother catches the attention of movie mogul Cy Goldman, while Georgie becomes involved in a secret investigation into a suspected jewel thief.
The investigation brings Georgie together with its lead investigator, her beau Darcy, at Goldman’s home, where movie-world glamour and romantic complications give way to a homicide. The eighth mystery in the Royal Spyness series, Queen of Hearts combines a 1930s setting with a crime-solving plot that moves between England and Hollywood.
Readers who enjoy historical mysteries, Hollywood settings, and the continuing adventures of Lady Georgiana Rannoch will find this installment a fitting choice.
