About Once Broken Faith by Seanan McGuire
In the October Daye series, Seanan McGuire brings changeling investigator October “Toby” Daye to a historic gathering of Faerie monarchs. After a visit to the Kingdom of Silences yields a cure for elf-shot, Toby is summoned to a convocation hosted in the Kingdom of the Mists, where the consequences of her actions could alter Faerie’s political balance.
The gathering turns deadly when a body is discovered and the doors are locked. As the only changeling present, Toby faces suspicion while trying to find the killer and protect her allies. This fantasy novel combines Faerie politics with a contained murder investigation, and will suit readers following the October Daye series or looking for fantasy with a mystery at its center.
