About Watching the Dark by Peter Robinson
In this Inspector Banks mystery, DCI Alan Banks and Inspector Joanna Passero investigate the murder of DI Bill Quinn, who is killed with a crossbow while convalescing at St Peter’s Police Treatment Centre. Compromising photographs left behind add another question to a case with connections to a vicious crime in Yorkshire.
The inquiry also reaches back to a cold case: the disappearance of Rachel Hewitt, a 19-year-old English woman who vanished in Estonia six years earlier. Published in 2012, this entry in the Inspector Banks series will suit readers of British crime fiction, police procedurals, and detective mysteries that connect present-day investigations with unresolved cases.
