About Revisionary by Jim C. Hines
In this fourth Magic Ex Libris novel, libriomancer Isaac Vainio’s hope for a new era of magical prosperity is giving way to conflict. A year after magic was revealed to the world, Vanguard—a group of magical creatures and former Porters—seeks open war with the mundane world, while Isaac’s government imprisons people it considers potential supernatural enemies.
Targeted by opposing sides, Isaac joins a small group of allies to evade magical and ordinary pursuit, uncover a conspiracy, and look for a way forward. The struggle may depend on Isaac developing a more powerful form of libriomancy. Published in 2016, Revisionary will suit readers looking for urban fantasy centered on magic, political intrigue, and a conflict between supernatural and mundane forces.
