About Terminal Alliance by Jim C. Hines
Published in 2017, Terminal Alliance is a humorous science-fiction space opera set in the aftermath of a plague that devastated Earth and changed much of humanity. A century later, humans are part of an interspecies alliance, though their place in it remains unusual.
Lieutenant Marion “Mops” Adamopoulos leads the sanitation team aboard the ship Pufferfish. When a bioweapon attack kills the Krakau command crew and leaves most humans aboard in a feral state, Mops and her team must keep the ship running, seek a cure, and investigate a conspiracy tied to Earth’s past. It may suit readers looking for comic, post-apocalyptic science fiction with aliens, spacefaring adventure, and an ensemble of practical ship workers.
