About Bemused by Farrah Rochon
Calliope, Clio, Melpomene, Terpsichore, and Thalia are talented performers growing up in a quiet seaside village, but they have no audience—and little freedom under their overprotective mother. Calliope dreams of writing epic stories in Thebes, yet feels responsible for keeping her sisters together.
After their mother reveals that she is Mnemosyne, Goddess of Memory, and is kidnapped, the sisters set out to find her and uncover their divine origins. This young adult fantasy retells the Muses’ story through Greek mythology, mythical trials, and the sisters’ individual talents and bond. It may appeal to readers who enjoy myth-inspired fantasy and stories about family and sisterhood.
