About Airhead by Meg Cabot
Em Watts never wanted to attend the opening of the new Stark Megastore. But when she tries to save her sister, Frida, from a falling television screen, Em is badly injured. After waking in the hospital with only fragmentary memories, she discovers that her voice—and her life—are no longer what she expected.
Em learns she is now in the body of supermodel Nikki Howard, surrounded by people who treat her as Nikki, including Nikki’s supposed best friend and boyfriend. Set amid celebrity culture and the complications of a startling change in identity, this 2008 young adult novel blends contemporary fiction, romance, and science fiction. It may appeal to readers who enjoy teen stories about fame, family, and an extraordinary disruption to everyday life.
