About Wild Rain by Beverly Jenkins
Set in Wyoming after the Civil War, Wild Rain follows Spring, a rancher who runs her own operation and chooses denim pants over dresses. She has overcome a scandalous past and has no desire to fall in love.
A reporter from a Black newspaper back east travels to Wyoming to write about doctors and expects Spring’s brother, Colton Lee, to make an interesting subject. Meeting Spring changes his focus. This second novel in the Women Who Dare series pairs historical romance with a Western setting and an attraction tested by the pair’s differences.
