About Underworld by Meg Cabot
Seventeen-year-old Pierce Oliviera is alive, but held against her will in the dim, twilit realm between heaven and hell. Her captor, John Hayden, says he is keeping her safe from the Furies—vengeful spirits who have returned from the dead and threaten both Pierce and the person John loves.
As Pierce faces dangers within the Underworld itself, questions arise about whether its ruler may be as much of a threat as his enemies. The second book in the Abandon series blends young adult fantasy and romance with Greek mythology and supernatural elements.
