About The Third Angel by Alice Hoffman
Alice Hoffman interweaves the lives of three women drawn to men who are wrong for them: Madeleine, who is attracted to her sister’s fiancé; Frieda, who becomes the muse of a troubled rock star; and Bryn, who is preparing to marry while still preoccupied with her ex-husband. Their stories unfold around London’s King’s Road, Knightsbridge, and Kensington.
At the center is Lucy Green, who blames herself for an accident she witnessed at twelve and spends four decades searching for the Third Angel, a figure she hopes will restore her faith. Moving through time, the novel explores love, guilt, and the possibility of renewed belief. It may appeal to readers who enjoy interwoven stories of relationships with a magical element.
