About Summer People by Elin Hilderbrand
For the Newton family, summer on Nantucket is a cherished tradition. After attorney Arch Newton dies in a plane crash, his widow, Beth, is determined to bring their teenage twins, Winnie and Garrett, to the island and honor a promise Arch made before his death. She also invites Marcus, the son of Arch’s last client—a decision that meets with mixed reactions from the twins.
As the family tries to recover from loss, relationships grow complicated and a secret from Beth’s past threatens their efforts to heal. Set amid a family’s summer on Nantucket, this 2004 contemporary romance will suit readers drawn to beach reads about family bonds, grief, first love, and betrayal.
