As these people enter and leave his life, Yohan faces the challenge of connecting with others while living with the trauma of his past.

Paul Yoon’s literary novel considers displacement, loneliness, and the possibility of belonging after war. It may appeal to readers interested in character-focused fiction about the aftermath of conflict and the making of a home far from one’s country of origin.
