About Skipping Christmas by John Grisham
Luther and Nora Krank decide to skip Christmas for a change: no tree, no Christmas Eve party, and no holiday decorating. Instead, they plan to spend December 25 on a Caribbean cruise. Their choice soon proves harder to carry out than they expected, bringing consequences they did not anticipate.
Published in 2001, Skipping Christmas is a contemporary comedy about holiday customs and the pressures surrounding them. Its lighthearted take on seasonal bustle may appeal to readers looking for humorous holiday fiction or a book-club discussion pick.
