About Sizzling Sixteen by Janet Evanovich
In Trenton, bounty hunter Stephanie Plum faces a crisis at Vincent Plum Bail Bonds: Vinnie has run up a $786,000 gambling debt and is being held by mobster Bobby Sunflower. With office manager Connie and file clerk Lula, Stephanie must find a way to get him back and keep the business afloat.
The search brings its own complications, from finding somewhere to hide Vinnie to pursuing a polygamy suspect, a turnpike toilet-paper bandit, and a drug dealer with a pet alligator. A bonds-office yard sale, a charity event, and Uncle Pip’s questionably lucky bottle add to the mix, alongside Stephanie’s connections with Joe Morelli and Ranger. This comic crime novel suits readers who enjoy bounty-hunting capers, lively workplace trouble, and romantic complications.
