About Mercy Blade by Faith Hunter
Set in New Orleans, Mercy Blade follows a city where werewolves have revealed themselves to the world, reigniting old hostilities with vampires. Jane Yellowrock, an employee of Leo Pellissier, the city’s Blood Master, is caught between the two sides.
After a werewolf pack attacks Jane, a stranger named Girrard comes to her aid. He says he once served Leo as the “Mercy Blade,” a role devoted to killing vampires who have gone insane. His return raises questions about why he left—and what brings him back.
The third Jane Yellowrock novel suits readers looking for urban fantasy involving vampires, werewolves, shapeshifters, and magic, with a supernatural conflict rooted in New Orleans.
