About Memory in Death by J.D. Robb
When Eve Dallas’s former foster carer, Trudy Lombard, reappears, the encounter brings back memories of the cruelty she inflicted on young people in her care. Eve is shaken by the meeting, but the past becomes part of a present-day investigation when Trudy is found murdered days later.
Set around the work of New York homicide lieutenant Eve Dallas, Memory in Death brings a murder mystery together with the emotional weight of a painful history. It may suit readers looking for crime fiction with a central detective whose personal past is closely tied to the case.
