About Frostbite by Richelle Mead
In the second Vampire Academy novel, Rose’s feelings for Dimitri are complicated by his interest in Tasha and her friend Mason’s crush on her. Her close connection to Lissa also leaves Rose caught up in her best friend’s romantic life.
After a Strigoi attack puts St. Vladimir’s on alert, students are sent on a mandatory holiday ski trip. When three students leave to fight the Strigoi, Rose joins Christian in an effort to bring them back. The story combines young adult vampire fantasy, romantic tension, and danger during a winter break.
