About From a Buick 8 by Stephen King
In rural Pennsylvania, members of state police Troop D have kept an abandoned 1953 Buick Roadmaster in a shed behind their barracks since 1979. Curt Wilcox, who knew old cars, recognized that something about this one was wrong—and the Buick proved more dangerous than the troopers expected.
More than twenty years later, Curt’s son Ned begins spending time at the barracks and is brought into the close-knit Troop D community. When he discovers the car, an old mystery stirs again, both among the troopers and around the Buick itself. Stephen King’s suspense thriller explores the pull of dangerous mysteries and the human demand for answers when none may be available.
