About Florescentia by I.V. Ophelia
In the bioluminescent, star-worshipping city of Astraea, inventor and occultist Lucia Fairfax draws luck from a dimension she calls the Otherside. After a ritual fails and her husband dies, her fortune runs out. A subsequent attempt to regain her power summons Altair, a cosmic entity born of an ancient constellation.
Lucia sees a way to the Otherside in Altair, but crossing into his realm brings danger as well as answers about her abilities and the world beyond. This dark romantic fantasy brings together occult rituals, a star-born being, and the risks of desire and ambition. It will suit readers looking for atmospheric fantasy with a romantic edge and a supernatural premise.
