About Disturbing the Dead by Kelley Armstrong
Victorian Scotland is becoming more familiar to Mallory Atkinson, a modern-day homicide detective living in the body of housemaid Catriona Mitchell. She works as assistant to undertaker and medical examiner Dr. Duncan Gray, while adjusting to life in a different century.
An invitation to a mummy unwrapping at Sir Alastair Christie’s home takes an unexpected turn: the host is missing, and the body inside the wrappings is far more recent than anyone expected. This entry in Kelley Armstrong’s A Rip Through Time crime series blends a Victorian setting with a present-day perspective. It will suit readers who enjoy historical mysteries, homicide investigations, and stories that cross eras.
