About Bad Intentions by Iliana Xander
After a serious mistake, Josie Boots returns to Burnville to care for her ailing grandmother. The small hometown is tied to a crime from twenty-five years earlier, her grandmother’s trial, and her mother’s death. Josie has also spent years being branded the “bad seed”—a label that feels harder to escape after her latest misstep.
A stranger offers to reveal more about Josie’s family history, but their meeting turns violent. As old secrets surface, the past becomes an immediate threat. This mystery thriller will suit readers drawn to family secrets, hometown crimes, and suspense rooted in a troubled history.
