About And They Were Roommates by Page Powars
Charlie arrives at Valentine Academy for Boys determined to keep his identity as the school’s only trans student private. His plan takes an unexpected turn when he is assigned to share a room with Jasper Grimes—the boy who broke his heart before Charlie transitioned. Jasper doesn’t recognize him, and Charlie hopes that will last long enough to secure a room of his own.
Instead, Charlie agrees to help Jasper write love letters for other students. Their late-night conversations about romance complicate Charlie’s plan in this second-chance story of an awkward roommate arrangement. It may appeal to readers looking for a queer romance with a trans protagonist, a school setting, and romantic tension between former acquaintances.
