About All I Ever Wanted by Kristan Higgins
Callie Grey’s thirtieth birthday brings an unwelcome surprise: her boss, Mark, has become engaged to someone else instead of proposing to her. With her mother planning a birthday party at the family funeral home, Callie turns to an unexpected tactic to get Mark’s attention—starting a relationship with Ian McFarland, a formal, orderly veterinarian in Georgebury, Vermont.
As Callie tries to loosen Ian up, their arrangement begins to surprise her. This romance will suit readers who enjoy relationship complications, a lively small-town setting, and a heroine whose plans may lead her somewhere she did not expect.
