About 15th Affair: The evidence doesn't lie... by James Patterson
Detective Lindsay Boxer is called to a San Francisco hotel, where a man has been shot at close range. He checked in under a false name and has no identification. In the next room, a young man and woman are also dead, with high-tech surveillance equipment around them; a house maid’s body is found in a utility cupboard down the hall.
The murders appear connected and professionally carried out, but the motive remains unknown. Published in 2016, this mystery thriller follows Lindsay’s investigation as it puts her personal life at risk. It may suit readers looking for a contemporary police mystery with linked crimes, surveillance, and suspense.
